Space Optimization

Housed within a 19" industry-standard rack, Cirrus-S servers reduce server footprint in the data center. Power, cooling and networking devices are aggregated in the rear of the chassis which optimizes the required amount of space. Up to 10 TwinBlade (20 nodes) can be installed in a 7U chassis. Compared to the 20U of rack space that twenty 1U servers would normally require as individual servers, the Cirrus-S family provides more than 50% density savings with 120 nodes and 24 switches in a 42U rack.

The Cirrus-M Blade Server Family represents an entirely new type of computing platform. It is a powerful and flexible extreme-density 6U/3U all-in-one total system that features 28/14 hot-swappable Server Blades. The 6U/3U Cirrus-M enclosures can incorporate up to 2 Chassis Management Modules, and up to 2 Switch Modules for efficient, high-bandwidth communications. This innovative new generation architecture includes server, networking, storage, and unified remote management for Cloud Computing, Video Streaming, Content Delivery, Social Networking, Desktop Virtualization and Remote Workstation applications.

Power, cooling and networking devices are aggregated in the rear of the chassis which optimizes the required amount of space. Up to 28/14 Blade (112/56 nodes) can be installed in a 6U/3U enclosure. Compared to 1U rack mount servers, the Cirrus-M family provides up to 95% space savings.
