Intel® Carrier Grade Servers are NEBS-3 and ETSI compliant standard building blocks used in a variety of telecom applications and are important for satisfying the demanding requirements and limited space of the telecom central office.

Intel® Server TIGH2U

The Intel® Carrier Grade Server TIGH2U is a NEBS-3 and ETSI-compliant 2U carrier-grade rack-mount server, features the Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processor 5400Δ series - based on Intel's latest 45nm technology - to provide breakthrough performance and energy efficiency for compute- and I/O-intensive applications and workloads.

It enables Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Telecom Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) to create specialized, value-added solutions for a variety of telecom applications including unified messaging, Services over IP (SoIP), call control, media and signaling gateways, and operational system support.

The TIGH2U is designed to be fire-resistant and to withstand extreme heat, humidity, altitude and zone 4 earthquake shock. Advanced server management and telco alarm management features provide visual, audible (optional) and System Network Management Protocol (SNMP) event indications of faults, consistent with the rigid requirements of the telecom central office environment.

Intel® Server TIGW1U

Now supporting the Intel® Xeon® processor L5410

The Intel® Carrier Grade Server TIGW1U is a NEBS-3 and ETSI-compliant carrier-grade rack server, providing industry-leading CPU performance and power efficiency in a compact package. It supports the Intel® Xeon® processor L5410, as well as 64-bit Intel® Xeon® processors LV 5148 and LV 5128, providing improved performance-per-watt over previous-generation rackmount servers.

It is also ideal for Services over IP (SoIP) for next-generation telecom solutions and communications networks. Offered as a standard building block, the Intel Carrier Grade Server TIGW1U enables OEMs and TEMs to create their own value-added solutions for a variety of telecom applications including unified messaging, SoIP, call control, media and signaling gateways, and operational system support.

In addition, the TIGW1U raises the performance bar for telecom solutions with support for Intel® I/O Acceleration Technology (Intel® I/OAT)◊1, Intel® 64 Technology (Intel® 64)◊2 and dual-channel Fully Buffered DIMM (FB-DIMM) technology at either 533 or 667 MHz for maximized bandwidth.

Intel® IP Network Servers
Intel® IP Network Servers are optimized for high I/O throughput and compute performance, serving as an excellent choice for data network applications
with large I/O requirements. They are well suited for enterprise application acceleration and content caching, and are ideal platforms for running Telco SoIP, including IMS, IPTV, video on demand (VoD), SIP application servers, IP-PBX,
and IP-PSTN gateways.

Intel® Server NSC2U

The Intel® IP Network Server NSC2U, features the Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processors 5400Δ and 5300Δ series. Due to high I/O throughput and performance, the NSC2U is an excellent choice for network security applications with large I/O requirements, including intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, VPN/firewall, and unified threat management solutions.

The NSC2U features shallow depth, DC power capabilities, and the ruggedness usually found on carrier-grade servers. It is well suited for enterprise application acceleration and content caching, and is an ideal platform for running Telco SoIP, including IMS, IPTV, video on demand (VoD), SIP application servers, IP-PBX, and IP-PSTN gateways.

Intel® IP Network Server NSW1U

As an alternative to custom chassis for network security applications, the Intel® IP Network Server NSW1U is uniquely suited for network data applications with high I/O requirements.

With a longer life than enterprise servers and with many of the features found on carrier grade servers, the NSW1U raises the performance bar for IP network security products by supporting Intel® I/O Acceleration Technology (Intel® I/OAT), Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (Intel® EM64T) and fully buffered DIMM (FBDIMM) technology at 533 MHz and 667 MHz.
